1,8 millioner kroner.

Stolen diamond extracted from a Chinese woman’s intestine
........................................................................................................
Thai police have detained a Chinese couple who allegedly stole a diamond worth Bt10 million (US$278,000).
The couple asked to see the diamond at the Bangkok gems fair.
The Chinese woman asked about the price and after a while she appeared to return it to a sales woman.
But she actually switched it with a fake one.
The sales person found out that the returned diamond was a fake.
She rushed to police and they looked at video footage.
The couple was seen hailing a taxi outside the fair at Muang Thong Thani.
Last Friday, a day after the incident the two were stopped at the airport.
Immigration police at the Suvarnabhumi airport detained them.
Identified as Hae Ying and Jiang Xulian, they denied the accusation.
However, an X-ray showed the diamond lodged in her stomach.
The couple were about to flee Thailand with the diamond.
She was taken to a hospital to surgically remove the diamond.
On Monday the doctors successfully removed the costly gem from her gut.
The doctors used a colonoscope and instruments to remove the gem from her lower intestine.
It took 12 minutes to extract it.
Xulian, the Chinese woman, was fine and discharged.
Police would take the couple to the Nonthaburi Provincial court.
