The team of royal physicians has advised His Majesty the King to suspend royal activities for a while, according to the 65th announcement of the Royal Household Bureau released on Sunday.
The announcement said the result of an x-ray reveals that the inflammation in the lungs of His Majesty the King, found on April 28, has reduced. His Majesty is able to sleep but cannot yet take much food and is still tired.
The physicians will continue to give His Majesty medicine intravenously until the full course of the antibiotics is completed.
Previously, the Royal Household Bureau said their Majesties the King and the Queen will appear at a ceremony on Sunday to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of Coronation Day in the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall.
The bureau said Their Majesties will leave Siriraj Hospital for the Grand Palace at 10.30am and then proceed to the Throne Hall for the event.
