Welcome to Lop Buri, 150 Km North of Bangkok where the annual feast is held for monkeys.
Held in late November each year, this year marks 27th Monkey Festival of the province.
Dubbed city of monkeys, the province is home to 2,000-3,000 monkeys.
Many of them stay at major tourist attraction Prang Sam Yot and have become a major attraction of this central province.
A parade and local performances mark the opening of the festival.
The local people hold the party to thank the monkeys for their contribution to the prosperity of the town.
The Monkey Festival attracts a number of Thai and foreign tourists who visit the province to watch the spectacle.
