A 31-year-old woman in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand is enjoying brisk business from selling fermented beef sausages on social media.
She earns up to Bt80,000 (US$2,300) per month from the sales of these sausages along with other popular local food.
The woman explained that her family earned less before they sold their goods online.
She has over 1,000 friends on her Facebook page who have become regular customers.
This type of sausage is a staple food among northeasterners.
It is made of high-quality beef which is mixed with spices and cow blood before it is fermented for a few days until it turns sour.
Her sausages come in two shapes: they are round if the meat is stuffed in a cow’s gall bladder but oblong if it is stuffed in a cow’s intestine.
