A jet ski operator being called a hero isn’t something you’ll see or hear too often in Thailand but that’s how one based on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui is being described this week after video footage of him racing into rough seas to rescue a drowning farrang went viral.
MThai News reported the foolish farrang had ignored the warnings of swimming in the sea and is lucky not to be featured on the Stickboy news pages as another dead tourist.
I hope he sorted Mr Jet Ski out with a few baht for his troubles. As for him being a hero, I’ll let you watch the footage and decide.
